What this service is
In plain terms.
Road construction is layered engineering. Subgrade preparation and compaction decide the life of the road far more than the surface course does. We execute the full stack — subgrade, sub-base, base course, and either a bituminous wearing course or a cement concrete pavement — along with the kerbs, shoulders, footpaths and drainage that make it a usable road rather than a strip of surfacing.
Scope of work
What a standard engagement includes. Anything outside this is quoted separately and agreed in writing before it is executed.
How we execute it
From enquiry to handover.
Six defined stages. You always know which one you are in and what closes it.
Survey & levels
The alignment is surveyed, existing levels recorded and the finished-level drawing agreed before excavation.
Subgrade preparation
Excavation, filling and compaction to the specified density, with field density tests as evidence.
Sub-base & base
Granular layers laid, watered and compacted in controlled lifts with thickness checks at each stage.
Surfacing
Bituminous laying with paver and roller train, or cement concrete pavement with joints and curing.
Appurtenances
Kerbs, footpaths, shoulders and drainage completed so the road drains as designed.
Handover
As-built levels, test results, material records and photographs compiled into a handover file.
