The challenge
What the client was up against.
The client needed additional connected load for a new production line, on a compressed timeline, with the civil and electrical scopes historically supplied by two contractors whose programmes never aligned.
Our approach
What we actually did.
MGP executed both scopes. The plinth, oil soak pit and cable trenches were built by our own civil team to the electrical layout, removing the usual handover delay. Transformer placement, switchgear installation, protection wiring and earth mat followed immediately, and pre-commissioning testing was scheduled around the Electrical Inspectorate's inspection calendar rather than after it.
Before and after
Drag the divider.
Opening condition on the left, completed work on the right — from the same position, so the comparison is honest.
After
The completed and charged substation with transformer, switchgear and boundary in place.
Before
Empty substation plot with marked layout before civil work commenced.
